Support for Ukrainian refugees
Integration courses for Ukrainians
Refugees from Ukraine who receive temporary protection according to § 24 AufenthG can be admitted to an integration course by the BAMF upon application according to § 44 Abs. 4 AufenthG.
For refugees from Ukraine, participation in the integration course is free of charge.

Refugees from Ukraine who receive temporary protection according to § 24 AufenthG can be admitted to an integration course by the BAMF upon application according to § 44 Abs. 4 AufenthG.
The following documents are required by the BAMF upon application:
- Residence title according to § 24 AufenthG or
- Fictional certificate according to § 81 Abs. 3 S. 1 i.V.m. Para. 5 AufenthG or
- Certificate according to § 2 UkraineAufenthaltsÜV or
- Confirmation of the application for a residence permit according to § 24 AufenthG in conjunction with the decision of the Council of the EU of March 4, 22 on the granting of temporary protection to refugees from Ukraine.

Beginners and advanced students can also take courses and exams in German as a foreign language at the VHS Köln.

You would like to support refugees from Ukraine and acquire first knowledge of Ukrainian? Our compact courses offer an introduction to the Ukrainian language. The focus is on spoken communication. You will acquire knowledge to hold simple conversations in private and professional everyday life. In addition, you will receive interesting information about the culture and history of the country.
